CALENDAR OF PROJECTS

Museum nights, in the evenings there are cultural activities in the Carlos Slim Foundation, Soumaya Museum, the main objective is to promote national and international cultural knowledge

Cultural center that has the vocation to collect, to investigate, to preserve, to spread and to expose artistic testimonies of Mexico and Europe mainly. Its objective is to promote the knowledge and enjoyment of the aesthetic work through the realization of: permanent, temporary and itinerant exhibitions, monthly catalogs and publications, play spaces, conferences, film cycles, interactive programs, and more.

 

Soumaya Museum opened its doors to the public in 1994 in Plaza Loreto and in 2011 was inaugurated the new premises in Plaza Carso.

The collection has a large collection of great masters from Europe and New Spain such as El Greco, Tintoretto, Tiziano, Murillo, Zurbarán, Los Cranach, Rubens, Villalpando, Páez and Cabrera; As well as artists of Impressionism and the first avant-gardes, Renoir, Monet, Cézanne, Toulouse-Lautrec, Van Gogh and Picasso.

 

Soumaya Museum It possesses the most important collection of the sculptor Aguste Rodin outside of France.

Acknowledgments to the academy of the elderly, donation of economic support by WFUCA

The Mayor of the Academy of the Elderly, has delivered economic donations for art, skills, food and medicine, on behalf of older adults registered in the academy and in the daytime house of the ISSSTE blankets have been delivered for the cold dates.

On July 5, 2017, the International President of the Federation of UNESCO Clubs, Centers and Associations (WFUCA-UNESCO), Mr. Pradeep Kaphle, presented a recognition to the architect Miguel Quintana Pali, President Of Grupo Experiencias Xcaret, for 25 years of dedication, with a level of excellence, to the rescue, conservation and diffusion of the natural and cultural heritage of Mexico.
